1- Song Packet / Instruction Packet should be given to each teacher.
2-Teachers must read the easy instruction sheet provided to students.
3- Teachers can make as many copies of the request card sheet as needed.

before the assembly.

INSTRUCTIONS: Teachers will explain what the assembly is about
and how it is going to work to their students. It’s time to get ready for
an assembly experience like no other. Get ready to sing your favorite songs!

1- A list of song titles (song packet) are provided, students must look
through the list and choose a song they would like to sing (solo or group).
Teachers need to help younger students by choosing songs for them to sing.
Students are limited to one song solo or with a group.

2- Request forms MUST be COMPLETELY and CORRECTLY filled
out. I.e. Song Title, Song Number, Assembly Time, Teacher’s Name,
and Student’s name(s).

3- Once the assembly begins, students will be called up to sing,
(completely by chance), on stage with a microphone.
DO NOT WRITE "WHOLE CLASS". * VERY IMPORTANT*
Every now and then, a couple of teachers don't read the directions.

*As of September 2004 - We will be using a new system, to write the names of the children on the bottom of the screen. This will speed up the to and from time of performers. Therefore, it is impossible to have "Whole Class" written as a singer or singers.
If "whole class" appears on the request card, the request will be discarded.

A video monitor provides words to all of the songs.
The words change color as the student’s sing.
Most songs are instrumental, however, many of the new songs have a lead vocal to sing with. Students provide the lead vocals.
Teachers are encouraged to participate in singing a song
themselves and /or with their students.
A big screen television projection system will allow for
full audience participation. Because the "BIG SCREEN"
projection unit will allow for full audience participation,
there will be no groups larger than 10 persons allowed per song on stage.

THINGS TO KNOW

NO LIMIT on the number of request cards filled
out by each class. Students wishing to participate,
should be limited to one group &/or solo performance each,
per class, per assembly.
There are 3 cordless microphones available for singers.
Groups larger than 10 persons cannot see the screen provided.
Groups larger than 10 persons are hard to control and
waste valuable assembly time arriving to and
exiting from the stage. These groups could become involved in
pushing and shoving one another. Injury could result if students
were to fall or be pushed onto equipment.
Depending upon the school and assembly size, as well as the length
of the assembly, there is a possibility that a classroom could be
missed and will not participate on stage. In the event this happens,
it is very important that the teacher explain that being chosen
to perform on stage, is completely by chance. We will also explain this
at the beginning of the assembly.
